I decided at the last minute last week on my husband’s prompting to participate in the Tour of Julian ride, a 55-mile ride between Julian and Mount Laguna in east county.  With at least 100 ft/mile of elevation, this is a ride for the mountain goats among us.  Perhaps we can get a team together to enjoy this ride together next year, or potentially we can set up a special weekend ride to retrace much of the route.  Sunrise highway is a great option for trying out your first long climb.
