We sure have been a lot of places in 8 weeks!

The following gives you a taste for the rides we have hosted so far this year.  From hill challenge to social coastal ride, we have it all.

August 24th and 31st – Rancho Santa Fe Ramble

Our very first club ride took off from downtown Carlsbad August 24th of this year.  Not yet advertised to the public, we took the opportunity to challenge ourselves on one of my favorite rides through Rancho Santa Fe:  this is the kind of ride where you’re surely feel a little turned around, but you’ll be completely enchanted.  Lots of shade, roads you most likely do not frequent, and varying terrain to keep the skills honed.   We revisited this route on the 31st as well for our first publicized group ride – hopefully we will get a chance to go back there soon.

September 28th – Endurance Ride

For this ride, the Advanced Group took on a challenging route including the 56 Bike Path in Carmel Valley, returning up through Fairbanks Ranch and Rancho Santa Fe, and finishing with Double Peak and rollers through inland Carlsbad.  The intermediate group enjoyed most of the same route, and the Beginners mirrored the beginning and end of the Advanced route.

October 5th – Cancelled due to Santa Anas!

Always check the Meetup site the morning of the ride in case there are cancellations due to weather.

October 12th – San Onofre Day

It seems I am missing pictures from this ride.  This shall not happen again!  Three ride levels took off north up through the Camp Pendleton Marine Base for varying distances, with totals between 35 and 50 miles.

October 19th – Social Coastal Ride

While a small team of the Advanced gals were off enjoying the Poker Ride, the Saturday group ride headed to the Stratford Court Cafe in Del Mar.
